PSC will host annual athletics Hall of Fame weekend Oct. 21 and 22

Peru State College will be hosting its annual Hall of Fame Weekend on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21 and 22. A reception, followed by a banquet, will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday evening at the College’s Student Center. Reservations for this event must be made in advance through the Peru State College Foundation website at bit.ly/2022PSCAHOF (case sensitive). Registration has been extended and is due by Oct. 13. Pink Out

Lourdes picked up a four-set win over Auburn and moved its volleyball record to 13-10 during action on “Pink Out” at the Lourdes gym on Tuesday. Aspen Meyer hit for 17 kills and had 16 digs. Kassidy Olson had eight digs. Amelia White had three ace serves and 10 digs. Jenna Box had 12 digs and three total blocks. Sofia Fulton set for 30 assists and had 13 digs. Pioneer softball wraps season with win, loss at districts

Nebraska City beat Omaha Gross and fell to Omaha Duchesne at the district softball tournament on Monday to wrap up a 15-11 season. Hit leaders for Nebraska City in a 15-7 win over Gross were Emilee Marth, 4-for-4; Sydnee Nickels, 4-for-5 with a double and three RBI; and each with a single: Bianca Hoy, Emerson Becker, Emma Cowden, Rylee Packett, Abby Hodges and Tarryn Godsey.

Nebraska City golfers set for state meet

Three Nebraska City golfers finished in the top 10 and qualified as individuals for the state golf meet, which will take place on Monday and Tuesday at Monument Shadows Golf Course in Gering. Ella Welsh finished third in the Class B-1 district field with an 86 for her 18 holes on the Table Creek Golf Course at Nebraska City on Monday, Oct.
