Nebraska City ran its dual record to 11-4 by picking up a 5-4 dual win over Lincoln Christian on the home tennis courts at Steinhart Park on Oct. 6.

The Pioneers host Syracuse tonight (Oct. 14) at Pioneer Field.

Lourdes scored three of the first four touchdowns in Friday’s game at Humboldt-TRS and outlasted the Titans by the final score of 60-56. Knight quarterback Nolan Beccard threw a 10-yard pass and the Knights had touchdown runs of 10 and 12 yards.

The NCHS marching band provided music during the downtown NC Homecoming parade. More Homecoming Parade Photos on Page 12 .

The Nebraska City football team raced back from down 33-7 in the third quarter on homecoming night at Nebraska City and fell just three points short on the final scoreboard in a 33-30 decision against Raymond Central.

E lla -- Our team leader and number 1 all year. Her work ethic and attitude sets the tone for the team. She has improved her game each year. She has now qualified all four years for the state tournament.

Pictured are Nebraska City senior softball players and their parents. The senior players were honored at the team’s senior night at its last home game of the season against Auburn. Nebraska City beat Auburn, 12-2. It was the second win for the Pioneers against the rival Bulldogs. The Pioneers posted a final record, including postseason play, of 15-11.
