
Nebraska City girls’ wrestling team to compete
The Nebraska City girls’ wrestling team will compete at High Plains Community High School on Jan. 5 while the Pioneer boys’ team will compete at Falls City on that same day.

For just the second time in Peru State College football history, there will be a Bobcat representing the College as a member of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. Garrison Dodge (Oakland) will be flying to New Orleans Thursday to take part in the Good Works Team activities leading up to the Sugar Bowl game on Saturday, December 31.

Wahoo 82, NC Boys 35 Wahoo scored 20 and 26 in the first and second quarter in a win over Nebraska City on Dec. 17.
Members of the Nebraska City wrestling team were in action at a tournament in Fairbury on Thursday, Dec. 15, and at Platteview on Saturday, Dec. 17. The team placed sixth out of 24 teams at the Platteview meet and were third out of 20 teams at the Fairbury meet.
The Nebraska City boys’ wrestling team picked up a 12th place finish in a 17-team tournament at the Platteview Invite on Friday, Dec. 16.
