After applying lessons learned in its first game, the Lourdes girls’ basketball team earned a 54-31 victory in its second game of the 2023-24 season at home against HTRS on Friday, Dec.

The Nebraska City boys’ wrestling team traveled to Holdrege last weekend for a dual and a tournament.

Nebraska City jumped to a 15-point halftime lead and went on to claim the first win of the girls’ basketball season in a 40-16 final against Ralston on Tuesday, Dec.

Kalan Fritch notched 23 points including 20 in the first half and the Pioneer boys’ basketball team topped Arlington 70-64 for the Pioneers’ first win of the season and first victory under Coach Tom Ahlschwede.Fritch hit three first half three-point shots in helping the Pioneers to a 39-37 lead at the half.The game stood tied going into the final quarter.Kaiden Klassen, six points; Daneil Adanza, six points; and Sam Rovetto, five points, keyed a 20-point fourth quarter.
