The Nebraska City Middle School boys and girls wrestling team wrapped up their season with their final competition on March 10 in Nebraska City. The Pioneers competed in the Trailblazer Conference wrestling tournament on Saturday, March 5, and came away as team champions for the second consecutive year. The Lourdes Knights boys’ basketball team took Class D1 top seed North Platte St. Patrick’s all the way to the wire in a furious fourth quarter finish at the state tournament on Monday before falling 54-49. Beau Lee had a team high 17 points including eight in the fourth as Lourdes made a comeback from a deficit that stood near 20 in the second half.
