NCMS Wrestling Trailblazer Conference Champions
The Nebraska City Middle School boys and girls wrestling team wrapped up their season with their final competition on March 10 in Nebraska City. The Pioneers competed in the Trailblazer Conference wrestling tournament on Saturday, March 5, and came away as team champions for the second consecutive year. NCMS Dean of Students Kaleb Walker said the season has been a great success with many improvements witnessed by athletes and coaches! Great job Pioneers! Courtesy Photo

Beware the threat of overuse injuries
Momentum can be a valuable asset as people pursue their fitness goals. Once a fitness routine picks up steam and begins to produce results, the resulting momentum can make it easier for individuals to fully commit to exercise and ultimately achieve, if not exceed, their initial goals.
Knights battle to the wire at state, fall just short
The Lourdes Knights boys’ basketball team took Class D1 top seed North Platte St. Patrick’s all the way to the wire in a furious fourth quarter finish at the state tournament on Monday before falling 54-49. Beau Lee had a team high 17 points including eight in the fourth as Lourdes made a comeback from a deficit that stood near 20 in the second half.
