New Long Jump Record

Beau Lee, a senior at Lourdes Central Catholic, recently met with Doug Kreifels, an alum of Lourdes. Kreifels had owned the long jump school record prior to Lee breaking the mark this spring. Kreifels told Lee that he had lived on the east coast for many years but was glad to be back home to congratulate the new long jump record holder. Signed Letter of Intent

Chase Brown, a senior and accomplished multi-sport athlete at Nebraska City High School, recently signed a college letter of intent during an event at the high school. Brown will be playing college basketball for Peru State.

Pioneer track competes at Crete

A relay team and a pair of individual athletes scored medals for the Nebraska City track teams at the Crete Invite on April 28. Daniel Adanza, Mason Houghton, Alex Rico and MJ Nelson had the highlight for the Pioneer boys’ team by taking third in the 4x800 relay with a time of 8:50.54.
