The Nebraska City girls’ and boys’ track and field teams were in action last week for a meet at Platteview High School.
The Nebraska City boys’ golf team braved windy conditions and took on a challenging course at the two-division Beatrice Invite on Monday.
Last week’s soccer action saw the Nebraska City girls’ and boys’ teams pick up wins with the Pioneer boys’ team defeating Lincoln Lutheran/Raymond Central/Parkview Christian (7-3) by the final score of 3-2, and the Pioneer girls’ team beating Auburn (0-9) by the score of 9-2.
Nebraska City (3-12) competed in three games last week, including two in the Trailblazer Conference baseball tournament.
The Nebraska City girls’ and boys’ soccer teams will wrap up the regular season and get set for the Trailblazer Conference tournament this week. On Tuesday, April 22, the Pioneer girls’ team (0-9) was scheduled to play at Auburn (0-7). On Tuesday, April 22, the Pioneer boys’ team (1-6) was scheduled to play at Lincoln Lutheran/Raymond Central/Parkview Christian (6-2) with another match to follow on Thursday, April 24, at Waverly (5-5).
The Lourdes track teams competed at the Lewiston Invite on Tuesday, April 15, with the girls’ team scoring 44 points for a sixth-place finish in a 10-team field. The Knight boys’ team posted 22 team points.
The Nebraska City track and field teams competed at the Scott Nisely Invite on Thursday, April 17.
The Nebraska City tennis team competed in dual meets on the road on April 14 at Elkhorn at home on April 17 against Lincoln Christian.
A team score of 416 placed the Nebraska City boys’ golf team eighth out of 10 varsity squads in home tournament action at the Wildwood Golf Course on Thursday, April 17.
