If we still had “town news” in our newspaper, I think a review for my week would be “and a good time was had by all.”Do any of you remember the days when the “news lady” would call – usually on Sunday evening to see if there had been any happenings in your family that you wanted to share with the rest of the readers?Those days have passed (privacy issues, you know) with a few exceptions, and now we realize that indeed they were important.

My personal connection with adoption began nearly 30 years ago.

Fall is just around the corner, and District 1 has an exciting lineup of activities and events that showcase the greatest of our local communities.

It is miraculous to consider how much access and exposure we have to information through our computers, phones, televisions, radios and newspapers.

I am writing this on Labor Day morning.
