Ronald Lee Pierce

Ronald Lee Pierce, age 80 of Nebraska City died August 28, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Ron was born November 13, 1941 in Pawnee City, the son of Glen and Maxine (Arthur) Pierce. He lived in Nebraska City most of his life and worked at American Meter for 41 years. He then worked 7 years for Walmart before his retirement. Ron served in the Nebraska National Guard for 13 years and was a WWII memorabilia collector. He was an avid Husker fan and was a great baseball and wrestling coach. Survivors include his wife Sally of Nebraska City; children, Jeff (Lorri) Pierce of Washington State, Gayle (Mike) Fahey of Clarinda, IA and Stephen (Patricia) Pierce of Nebraska City; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Kathy) Pierce of Nebraska City; sisters, Sandra (Raul) Borrego of Nebraska City; Peggy (Raymond) Blevins of Lake Havasu, AZ; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City. Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project.
