Nebraska City Public Schools (NCPS) and Arbor Day Farms are proud to announce a new partnership to launch “Pathways at Arbor Day Farms,” a pilot transition program designed to support secondary students with disabilities, ages 18–21, as they prepare for life after high school.
After opening the week with a victory over Fremont-Mills of Tabor, Iowa, at home, on Tuesday, Sept. 2, the Lourdes volleyball team played on Thursday, Sept. 4, in a triangular, and Saturday, Sept. 6, in a tournament.
The Nebraska City softball team won four games last week to raise their record to 9-4 on the season.
The public is invited to attend the NCHS Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony to be held Friday, Sept. 12 during halftime of the Pioneer football game vs. Gross Catholic. This year’s inductees include Larry Cole (‘58), Loyd Maskell (Coach ‘72-’83), Nate LeGrand (‘91), Jason Schoo (‘91), and Katie (Hall) Brodine (‘06). A reception will be held at Pin High following the game.

Class 21 will begin its year of monthly meetings with a skills development training retreat. Other meeting topics will include business and industry; education; agriculture, energy, and environment; wellness and human services; local government and emergency services; state government; tourism; and communications.
