CHI Health St. Mary’s recently received two Excellence in Humankindess Awards. It was recognized for receiving an overall score at or above the 90th percentile of the Press Ganey National Database for Emergency Care from July 2024 -June 2025 and an overall score at or above the 75th percentile for Inpatient Care from July 2024 -June 2025. This award was presented to staff by Erik Decker, Central Region Director Patient and Family Experience, Tim Plante, Central Region CNO, David Jones, Market President of Critical Access Hospitals, and Tanner Bosworth, Administrative Fellow.

Craig Casados, the executive director of the Nebraska Hospitality Association, visited the Nebraska City Rotary Club Sept. 24 to provide members with an overview of the organization and some of the challenges the hospitality industry faces in Nebraska and across the country, including the annual increases in the minimum wage, the Americal Family and Healthy Work Act, and several legislative bills that may be reintroduced when the Unicameral reconvenes in January.
