Kimmel Orchard and Vineyard is the site of the newest certified Nebraska Pollinator Habitat in Otoe County.Intern Miriam Ganoung of Halsey, who is a junior studying environmental science at Concordia University in Seward, spent three months of her internship designing and planting more than 1,000 pollinator-friendly plants in 15 beds around the orchard.Ganoung said she and her parents, both of whom are long-time gardeners, visited Kimmel when she was younger, and she recalled how she admired the landscaping then.

Lourdes Central Catholic announced the recent move of its KnightsCare extended care and after school program to a nearby house which the school purchased in June.The home is located on the southwest corner of the main campus, just across from the school parking lot.
