I think this Easter may have single-handedly created an egg shortage. It isn’t enough that the Asian Bird Flu is thinning the flocks of laying hens. Easter 2022 has just been celebrated with an abundance of everything!
Easter weekend in Nebraska City included Good Friday and Easter Sunday church services, along with a Saturday afternoon egg hunt in Steinhart Park that featured 4,000 eggs, including 48 that contained certificates that egg hunters could redeem for prizes from the Nebraska City Parks and Recreation Department. Lourdes Central Catholic middle school students help prepare for the April 9 Knights of Columbus egg hunt by filling eggs for the hunt with candy.
The price of trash collection is going up, Nebraska City. The Nebraska City City Council approved a 4 percent increase in trash collection fees requested by American Recycling and Sanitation that would be effective Sept.
