Each spring there is potential for challenges in getting herbicides applied in a timely matter for good weed control. This year is no exception with the extremely windy conditions we have experienced this spring. With good soil moisture, weeds will take off if they have not been treated yet.

The 107th Legislature, Second Session adjourned for the year on April 20th. Last column, I discussed a few legislative wins in a record year for Southeast Nebraska. This week’s column will highlight some of the tax relief legislative wins.

The Kropp Charitable Foundation has announced that two scholarships have been awarded to two students from Nebraska City in 2022. The Foundation has received its funding from the estates of the late Campbell Kropp of Nebraska City and his sister, Dorothea Kropp. The Foundation also supports many other local projects through the awarding of Grants.
