Thanks in part to cooler temperatures than last year, the second annual Nebraska City Bluegrass Festival drew another large crowd to the parking lot of the Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building.

The Nebraska City Farmers Market continues through Aug. 28 on Thursday afternoons in downtown Nebraska City. The market opens weekly at 3:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building, 810 1st Corso and offers weekly sponsorship from local businesses, a Kids Korner from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and an assortment of fresh produce and homemade foods. The market concludes at 6 p.m.
