Providing in-home help so older Nebraskans can continue to live at home instead of having to move to a care facility is the goal of Safe at Home, which began in 2021 with four clients in Sidney. The company now has three offices across the state of Nebraska, including one at 724 Central Ave. The new office hosted an open house and ribbon cutting on Thursday, Jan. 30. The company is licensed to work with adults 18 and older in Nebraska, and its services include light housekeeping, cooking and meal planning, transportation, and companion care. Arbor Lanes hosted its first Customer Appreciation Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 1, as part of the celebration of the bowling alley being in operation under Scotty Kilpatrick Jr. Seventy-three bowlers took part in the tournament, which will become an annual event, and prizes ranged from $5 to $630. Part of the celebration included a special ribbon cutting hosted by Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce. Arbor Lanes will host a fundraising tournament for United Way of Nebraska City on Saturday, Feb. 22, beginning at 11 a.m. Arbor Lanes is located at 2023 Industrial Rd.
