The public is invited to the Apple Corps Barbershop’s 41st Annual Spring Show, “007th,” to be held Saturday, March 1, at 1 and 7 p.m., in the Wirth Auditorium, Lourdes Central Catholic School, 412 2nd Ave.

I don’t know about you – but I haven’t had much luck taking anything “back” to a store in my lifetime. Of course, the clerk had valid reasons – most of the time.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) is a lawless, politicized body. It threatens our sovereignty, our servicemembers, and our allies. It has investigated American troops. It’s taken illegitimate action against Israel. The Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act would sanction ICC officials for overstepping their authority. Recently, a majority of my colleagues joined me in supporting it. Despite strong bipartisan support in the House, Senate Democrats blocked it. They chose political games over supporting the women and men who defend our country.
A few (or more) years ago, Popeye the Sailor Man was an inspirational cartoon character. When needed, the superhero would quickly swallow some spinach and become strong, able to pack a punch that would defeat any evil villain.
A dual victory and a fourth-place tournament result rounded out the 2024-25 regular season for the Nebraska City boys’ wrestling team in action last week.
Lourdes scored an opening round win over Humboldt-TRS at the Pioneer Conference basketball tournament last week before wrapping the event with setbacks to Falls City Sacred Heart and Diller-Odell.
