The Nebraska City American Legion JRs and SRs baseball team played games on Tuesday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 11.

The Pancake Man was on hand in Nebraska City on Saturday, June 14, to serve breakfast at the Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building and help raise funds for American Legion Post 8 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2634, both of Nebraska City.
Donald Gray of rural Louisville, has retired from his position on the Otoe County Rural Water District No. 3 Board of Directors. Don joined the Board on Jan. 28, 1980, and was officially elected to the position of Secretary in January of 2013,a position he occupied until April of this year.
The Johnson-Brock Agriculture Education Department was awarded the Outstanding Secondary Program of the Year by the Nebraska Agricultural Educators Association (NAEA) at the NAEA Awards Ceremony on June 11th at the Nebraska Career Education Conference. Award winners are nominated and selected by their peers.
The Nebraska City 18s travel softball team played three games over the course of two days at the USA State Tournament at Hastings on June 13 and 14. There were 23 teams in the field. See more photos at ncnewspress.com.
The newly formed Otoe County Amateur Radio Association will be participating in the American Radio Relay League’s annual Field Day exercise June 28 and 29.
