Victories push Pioneer baseball’s record to 3-4

Recent victories against Seward and Platte Valley pushed the Nebraska City baseball team’s record to 3-4 on the season.The team posted seven runs on 10 hits in a shut-out road win over Seward on Monday.Sloan Pelican went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.

Pioneers earn medals at Platteview

NC resident’s road tip turns into Easter miracle

Thanks to the generosity and kindness of good Samaritans, Nebraska City resident Jan James’ trip to Bellevue proved to be an Easter miracle story instead of the roadside nightmare it could have easily been.James was on a road trip to see her son, who resides in a facility in Bellevue, when her car, a Chevy Cruz thought to be in good condition, began to show evidence of trouble.
