A come-from-behind victory pushed Friday’s district finals to a decisive third game as Nebraska City softball battled back from a game-one set back and picked up its 27th win of a historically successful campaign.The Gretna East Griffins won the first and third games of the best-of-three series and advanced to the state tournament.Gretna East looked in position to win the series in two games as the Griffins broke a 2-2 tie and had an 8-3 lead after six complete innings.The Pioneers refused to fold.Nebraska City, the visitors on the scoreboard in game two, got an eight-run top of the seventh inning to take the lead.Riley Beethe started off the top of the seventh inning with a triple and Kolbi Davis drove her home with an RBI single.Lextyn Harker hit a double and Tarryn Godsey hit a single that scored Davis.
