NC Rotary learns about Keep Nebraska Beautiful programs

Members of the Nebraska City Rotary Club learned about a number of different programs that Keep Nebraska Beautiful (KNB) offers to help keep usable furniture, household hazardous materials, and other items out of landfills across the state.Pete Stadig, KNB programs director, discussed the organization’s Materials Exchange Program, which helps schools and nonprofit organizations network with businesses that might have furniture that the schools or nonprofits might be able to use, which helps the organizations and the environment.Stadig said that the Arbor Day Foundation took part in the Material Exchange Program several years ago when it renovated the Lied Lodge.
