Delivering Wins for Nebraskans

I’m proud of the work my team and I have done fighting for Nebraska this year. Whether it’s meeting with Nebraskans or helping you navigate the federal government, my goal remains the same. I’m working to make sure your voices are heard and your concerns are addressed. I always advocate for Nebraska’s priorities in Washington.

Nurturing Active Childhoods in a High-Tech World

Long before children say their first words or pick up a pencil, they’re learning through their bodies. They kick, reach, roll, crawl and explore - hardwired to interact with the world through movement. From the very beginning, motor and sensory experiences are how babies discover their environment and how their brains begin to grow and organize.

Author visits NC Rotary Club

Author Dean B. Settle visited the Nebraska City Rotary Club Aug. 27 to discuss his new book, “Inside Nebraska Courthouses.” Settle and his late wife, Harriet R. Grossbart, embarked on a year-long journey across the state in 2023 to photograph all 93 county courthouses, inside and out. Settle said the trip took 28,000 miles to complete, and he took more than 6,000 photos of the historic structures. Settle and his Corgi, Miss Nora, traveled to 11 western counties to finish the photographs after Grossbart passed away from cancer. Each courthouse has a facing set of pages: one with text and what Settle calls “kickshaws,” which are little interesting items about the county or the building itself, and the second page with photos.
