Nebraska rising sophomores Landon Bartel and Angela Mercurio will represent their countries at the Pan American Junior Championships this Sunday in Edmonton, Canada.

Bartel will compete in the high jump for Team USA. He qualified by finishing second at the USA Junior Championships in June, clearing 7-1 1/2 (2.17m). The high jump is scheduled for 6:20 p.m. (CT) on Sunday.

Mercurio will represent Canada in the triple jump, as she won the Canadian Junior Championships in July with a wind-aided 40-3 1/2 (12.28m). Mercurio will compete at 7:10 p.m. (CT) on Sunday.
