Andrew Harrah first-inning single brought in two runs and got the scoring started for the Pioneers. A fielder’s choice by Kestyn Lee brought in the third run of the inning.
Noah Kasbohm went 2-for-4 with a two-RBI double in the fourth. Nebraska City scored three in the first, one in the second and two in the fourth, while Platts-mouth scored twice in their half of the third.
“It was a good win,” said head coach Tom Bales. “We played well in the field and did better hitting with runners in scoring position.”
