Alice Jorgensen was born January 10, 1918 in Rock Springs, WY, the daughter of Arthur and Ada (Pitt) Radford.  
She married Ernest Jorgensen December 21, 1943 in Chicago, IL.  Ernest died in November of 1979.  
Alice moved to Omaha in 1944 where she taught school in the Omaha Public Schools for 24 years.  
She moved to Nebraska City in 1984 to be closer to her family.  Alice was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nebraska City.  
She volunteered many years at the Nebraska City Elementary Schools and she loved reading and crochet.  
Survivors include her son, John Jorgensen and his wife Laurel of Pullman, WA; daughters, Diane Blake and her husband Barton of North Baltimore, OH; Elaine Gebert of Nebraska City, NE; two grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and grandson, William Gebert.  
Alice died November 22, 2013 at The Ambassador Care Center in Nebraska City at the age of 95 years, 10 months and 12 days.
Visitations and graveside services were held last November.  
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nebraska City with Rev. Randy Rasmussen officiating.
