Louisville clipped the Nebraska City American Legion Juniors and Seniors baseball team in Thursday doubleheader action at Clemmy Holmes Field.

The Louisville Juniors got three runs in the fourth and four runs in the fifth to account for the majority of their scoring in a 10-4 final. Andrew Harrah’s two-RBI hit in the fifth got the home team within six runs, but Nebraska City was shut out in the sixth and seventh innings.

Coach Kyle Ferguson was defensive issues hurt his squad in the set back.

“We shot ourselves in the foot about every way possible,” said Ferguson. “We just have to tighten up our defense.”

Turning to the Seniors’ game, Nebraska City’s offense was limited to two hits in a 3-0 set back.

Both Nebraska City teams will be in action next week with games on Tuesday at Elkhorn Mount Michael, Wednesday at home against Seward and Thursday at home against Nehawka.
