     Apples will not be sold in the Memorial Stadium during Cornhusker football games this fall.

     Apples will not be sold in the Memorial Stadium during Cornhusker football games this fall.
     A hike in apple prices has made the fruit an unprofitable item, according to L.F. “Pop” Klein, manager of concessions.   Besides, fans toss the cores into the crowd.
     Two-hundred and twenty-five student salesmen will hawk merchandise. Klein estimates TCU-Nebraska fans Saturday will buy 25,000 programs, 25,000 bottles of pop, 3,000 pre-game sandwiches, 4,000 hot dogs, 5,000 bags of peanuts, 3,000 sacks of popcorn, 3,000 candy bars, 600 packages of cigarettes, 2,000 eye shades, 8,000 ice cream bars and 3,000 back rests.
