Donald Lee Uhe, 68, of Plattsmouth, died at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha May 13, 2010. He was born Sept.11, 1941 at Omaha to Arthur Wilhelm and Mildred Florence (Elliott) Uhe. He married Marilyn Pollard Dec. 10, 1961 at Plattsmouth.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of Plattsmouth; sons Duane Uhe and wife Monica of Nehawka, Dale Uhe and wife Carol of Murray, and Daryl Uhe and wife Christina of Plattsmouth; daughter Dawnelle Martin and husband Dennis of Murray; ten grandchildren, Jenni Meiergerd and husband Brian, Tyler Uhe, Denae Martin, Delayne Martin, Vance Uhe, Devanne Martin, Claire Uhe, Shay Uhe, Alison Uhe and Rachael Uhe; sister Marlene Pritchard and husband Ken of Gamaliel, Ark.; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded by his parents; infant brother Richard; and parents-in-law Malcolm and Ruth Pollard.

He lived in Sarpy and Cass counties his entire life. He farmed his entire life and worked as an iron worker for over 45 years.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Nehawka and Iron Workers Local 21.

He was a former member of the Cass County Emergency Response Team.  He had also served as a 4-H leader, softball and baseball coach.

Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, at the First United Methodist Church in Plattsmouth with Rev. Sandy Webster officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Bill Mayfield, Ken Pritchard and members of Iron Workers Local 21.

Pallbearers are Chad Mayfield, Tom Pritchard, Terry Pollard, Brian Meiergerd, Mike Konfrst and Steve Berg.

Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Nehawka.

A memorial fund has been established.

Visitation is 1-9 p.m. Monday at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City with the family greeting friends from 5-8 p.m.
