NEBRASKA CITY – Andrew Dean Grotheer, age 53 of Nebraska City died November 26, 2021 at Bryan LGH East Medical Center in Lincoln. Andrew was born April 28, 1968 in Omaha, the son of Philip K. and Elsie Marie (Garman) Grotheer. Andrew grew up in Omaha and moved to Nebraska City in 1981 and he graduated from Nebraska City High School in 1986. He worked at Wordsmith Book Store for six years and worked at the Pendleton Outlet in Nebraska City for 26 years. Andrew was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family and getting together with friends for role playing games. Survivors include his father, Kurt Grotheer of Nebraska City; brother Tim (Kim) Grotheer of Omaha; sister, Beth Williamson and aunt, Ruth Huston, both of Nebraska City; brother in spirit, James Zank; nieces, Dianne Heiman, Danielle (Taylor) Hoskinson; great nieces, Olivia Grandizio and Riley Hoskinson; great nephew, Rawlings Hoskinson; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie and brother, Richard. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday,

Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City. Private graveside services will be in the Blue Springs Cemetery in Blue Springs, NE.

Visitations will be 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Marshall Funeral Chapel with the family greeting friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
