The Nebraska City Public Schools Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the Class of 2025 NCPS Foundation Scholarships and the institutions they are currently attending this fall. All recipients are 2025 graduates of Nebraska City High School.
The Lars Larson Memorial Scholarship ($1,000) was awarded to Cutler Adams, who is attending SCC-Beatrice and studying precision ag and business.
The Tommy Aldana Memorial Scholarship ($1,000) was awarded to Jesus Martinez, who is attending Peru State College and studying criminal justice.
The Westfall Family Music Scholarship ($1,000) was awarded to Evan Adkins, who is attending the University of Nevada-Reno and studying biochemistry.
In addition, the NCPS Foundation awards three scholarships from the Richard P. and Laurine Kimmel Charitable Foundation, Inc.
The Cornelia Petring Kimmel Scholarship ($10,000) was awarded to Dylan Cooper, who is attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and studying biochemistry.
Richard P Kimmel and Laurine Kimmel Scholarships ($10,000) were awarded to Stella Young, who is attending Doane University and studying biology/agriculture, and Lextyn Harker, who is attending Central Community College and studying agribusiness.
The Cornelia Petring Kimmel Scholarship has been awarded annually since 2017 and was followed by two additional annual Richard P Kimmel and Laurine Kimmel Scholarships in 2018.
Students selected to receive a Richard and Melinda Kleineweber Memorial Scholarship ($5,000) upon meeting the eligibility criteria after the 2025-2026 school year are Evan Adkins, Dylan Cooper, Stella Young, Elizabeth Poggemeyer, Lextyn Harker, Natalie Nelson, Breyden Durand, Isabelle Johnson, Isaiah Aldana, Jager Matsen, Tarryn Godsey and Jesus Martinez.
Students selected as alternates are Christopher Hinkley, Rush Chipman, Cutler Adams, Jayden Adams and Tidas Greenfield.
