Lydia Van Meter was named the All-Around Showmanship Champion at the Round Robin Livestock contest at the Otoe County Fair.
The contest was Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, at the Kimmel Arena.
Senior Showmanship winners in the species of beef, goat, horse, sheep and swine advanced to compete in the Round Robin.
Each showman showed all species, including the one in which they received showmanship honors.
Started over 10 years ago, the contest scores participants.
Up to 20 points may be earned that include points for appropriate handling and presentation of the animal with questions being asked at the discretion of the judge. Van Meter is a member of the Silver Creek 4-H Club and a sophomore at Palmyra High School.
Other participants included Kyle Cavanaugh (beef), Brooklyn Dennis (goat), Kathleen Donovan (swine), and Addisyn Lorenson (sheep).
