Press Release
The Nebraska City Public Schools Board of Education and District Leadership Team invite you to a Board Work Session and District Leadership Team Presentation on Monday, May 19, at 6 p.m. in the Nebraska City Middle School Library for “State of the Schools, May 2025, Debt Free, Continue to Invest in Our Students.”
Nebraska City Public Schools (NCPS) has undergone significant transformation from 2020 to 2025.
Facing high student needs and low property values per student, the district has remained steadfast in its mission while adapting to fiscal realities, enhancing academic performance, and planning for a vibrant future.
This report summarizes key metrics, financial management, academic initiatives, and forward-looking goals.
NCPS remains committed to transparency, academic growth, and student well-being.
While funding and classification challenges remain, there is cause for celebration—community support is strong, students are thriving, and the district continues to innovate for a better future.
Our District Leadership Team is looking forward to sharing the story of Nebraska City Public Schools – where we’ve been, what we’ve learned, and where we’re headed next.
This evening isn’t just about data and goals, it’s about the people behind the progress. It’s about our students, our families, and our community who continue to show up and support one another every step of the way.
We hope you will attend to hear from the people doing the work every day, to ask questions, to celebrate what’s working, and continue to shape the future of our school and community.
Superintendent Fritch will offer follow-up presentations on Monday, June 2, at 6 p.m. with Spanish translation, and Tuesday, June 3, at 5 p.m. in the Middle School Library.
