The Nebraska City tennis team competed in dual meets on the road on April 14 at Elkhorn at home on April 17 against Lincoln Christian.
Winning doubles matches in the home dual were the No. 2 team of Josephine Bennett and Susan Kincaid, 8-3, and the No. 3 team of Elizabeth Poggemeyer and Gabriela Rojas Guaminga, 9-8 (7-4).
Also playing in doubles action against Lincoln Christian was the No. 1 doubles team of Laney Vanerdewyk and Mia Valquier, which fell 8-3.
Singles competitors for the Pioneers were Susan Kincaid, 9-7 loss at No. 1; Elizabeth Poggemeyer, 8-5 at No. 2; and Mia Valquier, 8-2 at No. 3.
Doubles performances against Elkhorn were Elizabeth McNeely and Josephine Bennett, 8-1 loss at No. 1; Mia Valquier and Laney Vanerdewyk, 8-0 loss at No. 2; and Susan Kincaid and Journey Crook, 8-3 loss at No. 3.
