April is the Month of the Military Child. Military children face unique challenges and make sacrifices while their parent serves our country. There are 1.6 million children of the 6 branches of our Armed Forces.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 100 of Syracuse would like to encourage everyone to wear PURPLE on Tuesday, April 15 to show support and raise awareness of their sacrifices.

Purple symbolizes a combination of the colors of each branch of the U.S military: Army green, Navy blue, Air Force blue, Space Force blue, Marine Corps red, and Coast Guard blue.
