Nebraska City Tourism & Commerce is excited to share the news that Keep Nebraska City Beautiful has secured a glass recycling location for community use.

The glass recycling bins are in the northeast corner of the city parking lot at 6th Street and Central Avenue.

Keep Nebraska City Beautiful executive director Sally DuBois said her team has been working a long time to bring glass recycling to Nebraska City.

“This pilot program has been a long time coming,” DuBois said. “We are really grateful for the support of the community, particularly BluePrint Financial Planning, who is sponsoring the first year.”

NCTC is hosting a Ribbon Cutting to celebrate to officially open the glass recycling location on Wednesday, April 9, at 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
