The First United Methodist Church of Nebraska City United Women in Faith will hold their annual Spring Rummage Sale.
The sale will be held at the church at 1023 First Avenue in Nebraska City. The times are: Thursday, April 10, 12:00 to 5:00; Friday, April 11, 8:00 to 5:00; and Saturday, April 12, 8:00 to noon.
All proceeds from the sale are donated to mission projects at the local, state, national and international level.
Local missions that will be donated to include the Nebraska City Food Pantry, Blue Rivers Public Transportation, Head Start/SENCA, Meals on Wheels, the Nebraska City Ministerial Association and Project Response.
National mission donations include the Midwest Mission Distribution Center at Chatham, Illinois, the Red Bird Mission in Kentucky, Epworth Village Family Service Center in York, Nebraska and Lydia Patterson School in El Paso, Texas.
International mission projects include Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. Christmas gifts in shoeboxes are distributed to children worldwide thru Samaritan’s Purse.
Samaritan’s Purse also has staff, volunteers, partner churches and a fleet of trucks and airplanes that enable swift responses to help clean up after tornadoes, hurricanes, fires, and other natural disasters in the United States and worldwide.
