The 2024-25 NSAA Girls’ State Basketball Tournament wrapped up over the weekend in Lincoln.
In the Class A finals, Millard West defeated Omaha Westside, 70-44. Westside, the No. 7 seed, defeated No. 2 Millard North and No. 6 Bellevue West to reach the finals. Millard West, the No. 1 seed, beat No. 8 Millard South and No. 4 North Star to reach the finals.
In the Class B finals, Omaha Skutt defeated Gretna East, 37-25. Gretna East, the No. 7 seed, defeated No. 2 Lincoln Pius X and No. 3 Waverly to reach the finals. Omaha Skutt, the No. 1 seed, defeated No. 8 Norris and No. 4 Bennington to reach the finals.
In the Class C1 finals, Lincoln Christian defeated Milford, 49-42. Milford, the No. 3 seed, defeated No. 6 Arlington and No. 2 Minden to reach the finals. Lincoln Christian, the No. 1 seed, completed an unbeaten 25-0 season by topping No. 8 North Bend and No. 4 Gothenburg to reach the finals and claim a state title.
In the Class C2 finals, Oakland Craig defeated Elkhorn Valley, 51-46. Elkhorn Valley, the No. 4 seed, defeated No. 5 Cross County and No. 8 Guardian Angels Central Catholic to reach the finals. Oakland Craig, the No. 3 seed, defeated No. 6 Homer and No. 2 Crofton to reach the finals.
In the Class D1 finals, Pender defeated Elm Creek, 74-40. Elm Creek, the No. 2 seed, defeated No. 7 Diller-Odell, and No. 6 Cedar Catholic to each the finals. Pender, the No. 1 seed, defeated No. 8 Howells Dodge and No. 5 Alma to reach the finals.
In the Class D2 finals, Falls City Sacred Heart defeated Dorchester, 52-25. Dorchester, the No. 4 seed, defeated No. 5 Silver Lake and No. 8 Wilcox-Hildreth to reach the finals. Falls City Sacred Heart, the No. 2 seed, defeated No. 7 Anselmo Merna and No. 6 Archangels Catholic to reach the finals.
