A new venue and a record number of nominees for the annual awards were among the highlights of the 100th Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce banquet held Saturday, Jan. 18.

The McCabe Activity Center went from its customary blue and white to black and gold for the evening event. Banquet organizers moved to Lourdes this year because of its increased seating capacity of 400 people.

“No one was turned away,” NCTC Marketing Director Tammy Partsch said during her opening banquet remarks, adding that accommodating those who decided to attend the event after the ticket deadline passed had been a problem in recent years.
