Christmas Wishes Paying It Forward presents gifts to CHI Health St. Mary’s patients, staff

Christmas came early to CHI Health St. Mary’s as Jaylee Hoyle, Christmas Wishes Paying It Forward ambassador, presented gift bags for patients and staff to Dr. Dan DeFreece, president of CHI Health St. Mary’s, and staff member Quincey Swanson on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Gifts were provided to patients receiving infusion therapy for cancer, for staff members who provide direct patient care, for emergency room patients, and for the First Baby of 2025.

Hoyle was selected as the Christmas Wishes Paying It Forward ambassador earlier this year by program founder Margaret Spiers. Her letter to Santa when she was a second-grade student at Northside Elementary, paired with Spiers finding $100 during a walk around Nebraska City, were the foundations of the program that began eight years ago and continues today.
