First Evangelical Lutheran Church recently received a donation of a king-size quilt made of Nebraska Cornhusker football T-shirts. The quilt was made and donated by Gerry Brezenski’s mother.

Raffle tickets are on sale through Dec. 1, with the drawing planned for Sunday afternoon, Dec. 1. Ticket cost is $5 each or five for $20.

Tickets can be purchased at First Lutheran Church, 315 S. 16th St., or by calling Patty Madsen at 402-209-4230.

All monies raised from the raffle will be donated to the Nebraska City Food Pantry, which serves 25 to 35 families twice a month. The recent Thanksgiving food distribution served 62 families (244 people). The NC Food Pantry also has a Backpack Program for Hayward and Northside Elementary School students on Fridays.

All food and monies are donated and no government funds are received. All staff is volunteer.
