TERRY ODIN GUNDERSON

Terry Odin Gunderson was born to Nephi and Eileen (Doyle) Gunderson in Grand Junction, Colorado, on August 11, 1941. He grew up with his five siblings in East Carbon, a small mining town in Utah. Terry married Stephanie Mostow, and they had three daughters: Teri Lynn, Sue, and Shelly. They later divorced.

Terry married Dana Handy in 1993. Terry was a coal miner in eastern Utah and western Colorado for forty years, and he loved his work. When he retired, he and Dana moved to Percival. After the flood of 2011, they moved to Nebraska City. Terry loved golfing, reading, and piddling in his yard. He adored the women in his life, and he loved his grandsons. He was steadfast and loyal, and he always made us laugh. Terry is survived by his wife Dana; daughters Teri (Joe) Sever and Shelly (Drew) Ellis; grandsons Tate (Nevaeh) Higgins and Nathan Ellis; brothers Ray (Edie) Gunderson and Jim (Marlene) Gunderson; sisters-in-law Sandy Gunderson and Kelly (Brian) Johnson; father- and mother-in-law Lynn and Barbara Handy. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sue Higgins, his brother Richard, his sisters Janet and Geri Ann, and his parents. Terry died at home on Monday, February 13, 2023.
