TeamMates Mentoring of Nebraska City hosted a fundraising event at halftime of the Nebraska City High School boys’ basketball game on Thursday, Jan. 23. The event, Chuck A Duck, invited participants to buy toy ducks and throw them at a target with the most accurate throwers receiving prizes. TeamMates provides support and encouragement to students through one-to-one, school-based mentoring. The organization’s goal is to positively impact youth to reach their full potential through mentoring. Five Pioneer grapplers finished with medals led by Noah Boyer at 106 pounds during action at the Plattsmouth boys’ tournament on Saturday, Jan. 25.
