Kregel Windmill Factory Museum added to National Historic Landmarks list

The number of National Historic Landmarks in the state of Nebraska has increased by one, and the number in Otoe County has doubled in the past month.The Kregel Windmill Factory Museum joined the Arbor Lodge mansion on the prestigious list in August, according to Issiaih Yott, executive director of the museum, who spoke to the Nebraska City Rotary Club on Sept.

Nebraska City to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with Sept. 28 celebration

From September 15 to October 15 each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the achievements, histories, traditions and cultural diversity of Hispanic/Latino/Latinx Americans whose heritage is rooted in Spain or one of 19 Latin American countries and territories: Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.
