Doing your Personal Best

What does it mean to give your “personal best?”In track, that phrase means everything.Last week, as district track meets were contested, I had plenty of time to think about personal bests and the importance of comparing yourself only to yourself.From my time at Waverly, with the Nebraska City track team, to my time at Pawnee City, with the Lourdes track team, and to Tecumseh, with the Syracuse track team, my only thought was about how impressed I was with all the kids who went out there and had their personal best efforts.District track is all about Burke.
