Knights pick up home wins, fall to B-T
After scoring home wins over Sidney and Hamburg from Iowa, the Lourdes boys’ basketball team took it on the chin in a highly competitive game at Omaha Brownell-Talbot.Lourdes established a 16-point lead over Sidney by halftime and went on for a 45-42 win.Scoring for the Knights were Trevor Tesarek, 17; Miles Poppleton, 11; Nolan Beccard, 10; Brady Schnitzer, three; Robert Honeysuckle, three; and Blue Oggs, one.Scoring for the Knights in a 67-20 win over Hamburg were Miles Poppleton, 15; Nolan Beccard, 11; Trevor Tesarek, 10; Gabe Baxa, seven; Jayger Haag, five; Brady Schnitzer, four; Ben Chance, four; Blue Oggs, four; Sage McLaren, three; Robert Honeysuckle, two; and Oscar Krog, two.Brownell-Talbot topped the Knights, 47-37.Counting the results from last week, the Knights’ record moved to 8-11.
Knight girls’ team sweeps three foes
Last week saw the Lourdes girls’ basketball team earn home wins over a pair of Iowa foes, Sidney and Hamburg, before going on the road for a win over Brownell-Talbot.Jenna Box scored 19 points to lead the Knights in a 47-31 win over Sidney.
