Pioneer boys’ drop games to Conestoga, Gross
The Nebraska City boys’ basketball team fell in games against Conestoga and Omaha Gross last week.After falling behind 17-7 after one quarter at Conestoga, the Pioneers battled back with a 18-13 third quarter to trail by just four points entering the final period before ultimately falling by seven points, 68-61.Keston Holman hit for 21 points to lead the Pioneer effort while Kalan Fritch had 11.

After an opening round win over Weeping Water, the Lourdes girls’ basketball team saw their season come to an end in a loss to Freeman at the C2-1 subdistrict tournament at Adams on Feb.
