Dakota Wesleyan signs two Otoe County players
Dakota Wesleyan football and head coach Ross Cimpl ink 35 signees on National Signing Day. Tiger football signed 15 athletes from here in South Dakota, nine from Nebraska, three from Wyoming, two from California and one from Minnesota, Colorado, Michigan, Missouri, Maryland and Utah. The 2023 DWU Tiger recruiting class totals 10 different states across the board.

New creatine production facility opens in Plattsmouth
Last week, Vireo Resources and the community of Plattsmouth celebrated the grand opening of the first creatine production facility in the United States. The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) and the City of Plattsmouth supported the project with $1 million of funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.

One summer during my college years, another premed student and I got a job at the Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, as nurses’ aides. At that time, the guys were called orderlies, but we were part of the nursing department. We were taught how to clean patients’ private parts without making the patient feel self-conscious, and how to place urinary catheters mostly in old men with prostates that had overgrown and were blocking urinary flow.
