Lewis and Clark Center to host free presentation by canoeing artist tomorrow

The Lewis and Clark Visitor Center, 100 Valmont Dr., invites the public to hear about the trip adventure artist Steve Snell took down the Missouri River in 2022. The presentation, which will begin at 10 a.m. at the center, will cover Snell’s 2,341-mile trip down the Missouri River from Three Forks, Mont., to St. Louis, Mo. Snell will describe his adventure and show a video of his journey.

County board approves keno fund grant for Syracuse sand volleyball project

Sand volleyball enthusiasts in Syracuse will soon have an improved playing area, thanks to a memorial fundraising effort by a local family. The family of Morgan Hallstrom asked for and received $11,500 from the City of Syracuse after the family had funds remaining in a memorial account they had set up to honor their daughter, who passed away in 2019.
