Football reigns supreme in the landscape of American professional sports, and that popularity also is prevalent in boys' scholastic athletics. Data from the National Federation of State High School Associations indicates that football is the most popular boys high school sport in the United States, with more than one million participants during the 2018-19 school year, the last full season in which participation was not affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Among high school girls, no sport was more popular than outdoor track and field during the 2018-19 school year. In Canada, one study published in the Journal of Safety Research in September 2021 revealed that the top three sport and recreational activities for boys were basketball, ice hockey and soccer, while girls' most popular sports were dance, basketball and badminton.

The Lincoln South Beltway has been open for just over a week, but some motorists appear to still be bewildered about getting on the four-lane expressway. A reporter who drove the area on Thursday found at least two, eastbound semi-trailer trucks who mistakenly turned onto the old route through south Lincoln, one that takes trucks on a stop-and-go urban street with 17 stoplights, rather than continuing on to the 11mile, $352-million beltway.
Buying furniture can be an exciting prospect. The opportunity to breathe new life into a home with the addition of different furnishings inspires many people. However, at the same time, searching for furniture can be a tad overwhelming, especially when homeowners do not know where to begin.
The global pandemic reignited people's passions for home renovations, as they directed dollars that would normally have been spent elsewhere into the places where they were now spending the most time - their homes. According to the 10th annual Houzz & Home survey of more than 70,000 respondents in the United States, higher-budget projects cost around $85,000 or more in 2020, compared with $80,000 in the two years prior. Kitchen projects were the most popular among renovating homeowners.
Cognitive health is not something to take for granted. Although a certain level of memory loss can be expected as people age, when the ability to clearly think, learn and remember is compromised, those changes can affect an individual's ability to perform daily activities and should serve as a cause for concern.
Nebraska Governor-elect Jim Pillen announced his resignation from the University of Nebraska Board of Regents effective January 4th, 2023. “It has been an extraordinary honor to serve as a member of the Board of Regents,” said Governor-elect Pillen.
