Celebrating new Pella windows and doors

Gloria Glover cut the ribbon on Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, to celebrate the completion of the first phase of renovation at the Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building Project. Thanks to a grant from the Paul, John, Anton and Doris Wirth Foundation, Pella installed new doors and windows on the building, which will be open for tours next week in honor of its restoration being completed and Veterans Day.

Shop with a Cop Program

Walmart People Lead Bre VanSickle, left, and Store Manager Rick Altena, right, present a check to the “Shop with a Cop” program. Nebraska City Police Department Sergeant Jason Holman is in charge of the program, which has provided shopping experiences for the past 10 years. Children are paired with law enforcement officers, and they meet for a meal, shopping, and gift wrapping during the holidays.
